A Jacksonville, Florida father had enough of his elderly neighbor peeping in the windows at his 15-year-old daughter and took matters into his own hands.

According to police 60-year-old neighbor James K. Lowery was alleged to have been observed trespassing several times, and on multiple occasions may have damaged screens in an attempt to gain access to his neighbor's home.

Officer's stated in the official police report:

"The victim told me she was seated in the living room when she saw a silhouette outside the back window."

This is when the fed up father confronted Lowery with explosive results. Police were notified by the 15-year-old would-be victim that her father was restraining a man in their backyard.

When police arrived Lowery was beaten bloody and near senseless. Lowery's nose was split down the middle, and right eye completely swollen shut. He also suffered several deep lacerations to his forehead, cheek, and temples.

The Florida Times-Union reported the police were not too concerned with Lowery's bloody state:

"The suspect had minor injuries due to the complainant confronting him," police said.

Police arrived and attempted to arrest Lowery, who allegedly resisted. When asked why he was on the property, no explanation was given other than he had drunk a whole bottle of wine.

The drunken peeping tom was taken into custody by the Jacksonville County Sheriff's Office and was booked on the charges of public intoxication, resisting an officer without violence, and trespassing with intent to commit an offense.

It was later revealed that James K. Lowery worked as the chief engineer of local television station WJXT.
