Fated Intervention from 'Born of the Gods' revealed

Fated Intervention from "Born of the Gods"
Wizards of the Coast

Fated Intervention is one of the newest "Born of the Gods" spoilers revealed today Jan. 17, 2014 in an article by Sam Stoddard on This rare green instant "Magic: The Gathering" card joins Fated Infatuation and Fated Conflagration as part of a five card rare cycle of instants that all have scry 2 if it's your turn.

Fated Intervention - 2GGG
Instant (Rare)
Put two 3/3 green Centaur enchantment creature tokens onto the battlefield. If it's your turn, scy 2. (Look at the top two cards of your library, then put any number of them on the bottom of your library and the rest on the top in any order.)

Fated Intervention is incredibly powerful when combined with Ajani's Chosen, which will net you another two 2/2 Cat creature tokens (one for each of the 3/3 green Centaur enchantment creature tokens). That's a combined 10 power on the battlefield for just five mana. While it'll require two cards unlike Armada Wurm, you'll be able to use Fated Intervention as a combat trick to take out multiple attackers or just cast it on your turn in order to reap the benefits from scry.

There's no need to stick to an enchantment theme though: Another idea might be to stack your deck with other instant creatures such as Advent of the Wurm and Boon Satyr.

How will you use Fated Intervention?
