Only weeks ago, actor Paul Walker lost his life in a tragic car crash, which left the fate of his latest and unfinished film, “Fast & Furious 7,” in question.
According to a Jan. 4, 2014 Global Grind report, Walker’s character in the “Fast & Furious” series, Brian O’Connor, will cease to exist in a tasteful, respectful manner.
Some had feared filmmakers would kill off Walker’s character in some type of car chase or accident that would be too close to what actually took place on Nov. 30.
Walker, 40, and his business partner, Roger Rodas, 38, perished when a Porsche, driven by Rodas, hit a tree and a light pole in Santa Clarita, Calif. and then burst into flames. Investigators believe the vehicle was traveling at over 100 mph when it crashed.
The actor’s official cause of death was from burns and trauma.
Global Grind notes, “…the studio will be honoring Walker’s last big screen performance by retiring Brian O’Connor… due to the scenes that he had already shot for the film.”
Because of the actor’s untimely death, the release date for “Fast & Furious 7” has been pushed to April 10, 2015.
