Fat Head's Tap Room to host ferret fundraiser

If you're looking for another excuse to have a Fat Head's beer, here's one for you (like you needed an excuse, eh?). Ferrets unlimited is having their first fundraiser of 2014 on Sunday, February 9, from 2 - 6 p.m. at Fat Head's new tap room which is located at their production brewery a 18741 Sheldon Road in Middleburg Heights.

Tickets are available for drinkers and non-drinkers. Walk ins are welcome, but it is easier for them to plan food if they know how many will attend. You can reserve your ticket by sending an email to Look for the balloons on Fat Head's sign at Sheldon Road because it's a little hard to find.

Unfortunately, ferrets will not be present (or, thankfully, on the menu), but they'll have great food, raffles, activities, and of course, Fat Head's beer.

They've had some outstanding success stories this year, but have also had their resources taxed to the limit. The ability to take in homeless ferrets is dependent upon the amount of resources (monetary and otherwise) they have available to care for them. Many of the ferrets come to them with illnesses, injuries, or suffering from neglect or abuse. Their greatest costs are veterinary care, and most valuable resource is the volunteer time and effort of our foster parents.

We would love to see you so please come out and show your support for all the ferrets in their care! For the full details visit their website at
