In Las Vegas there are many quaint and tasty eateries tucked deep within the cities casinos. Once you discover one that tickles all your taste bud fancies you will feel so proud of yourself for sure. Who would know that this place even existed other than tourists who stays or visits the casino?
Fat Choy was listed as one of the 38 must-go restaurants in Vegas by some obscure website, so it had to be searched out and tried. Found just east of the Las Vegas Strip on East Sahara about a mile is the Eureka Casino. There you will find a long time old fashioned small gambling establishment that has been located there for decades.
Once there trying the duck bao, pork belly bao, and short rib rice is a delicious choice. You can't really ever go wrong with roast duck when prepared traditionally well. The duck bao prepared with a generous piece of delicious boneless duck in a steamed Chinese bun with a bit of greens, drizzled with hoisin sauce for $7. Impressed by the pork belly which can be found in a number finer Asian restaurants around the country easily rivaled their preparations. Chef Sheridan really cares about the dishes that are prepared there by appearance, flavor and served hot!
The short ribs with white rice and side salad were incredibly tender and seasoned wonderfully. This dish easily surpassing what most people’s expectations are of a Chinese dish like this. A side of pickled mustard would add a lot to the dish if you appreciate that flavoring.
A unique dish is the Chicken Waffles dish with sesame noodles; tender, hot and tasty.
The service is really friendly and sweet.
Unlike most Chinese restaurants there is a nice selection of dessert, like red velvet cake, chocolate cake Ala-mode and root beer floats!
Although this eatery is overly Chinese cuisine there are numerous non-Chinese dished that are delicious and ready to be ordered, prepared and devoured. This would be a great place to visit if you love Asian Cuisine and your friends do not. Here you will find items to satisfy all your pallets. When near there you want to stop by and try their great and delicious food.
