Modesto Film Society brings another classic film to the State Theatre when it screens All About Eve on Sunday, February 21.

Considered the definitive film depicting the seamy, back-biting underbelly of the entertainment business, All About Eve was nominated for fourteen Academy Awards and won six, including Best Picture. It held the record for Oscar nominations by a single film until Titanic tied it in 1997.

All About Eve's all-star cast includes Bette Davis, Anne Baxter, George Sanders, Celeste Holm and, in one of her earliest roles, Marilyn Monroe. It remains the only film in Academy history to have received four female acting nominations.

All About Eve screens at 3:30 only. Tickets are available for purchase online from The State or at the box office. Tickets are $8 or $5 for Modesto Film Society members. Learn how to become an MFS member here.

The Modesto Film Society is a community-based, non-profit group dedicated to preserving our cinematic heritage through promotion and education. Films are screened once per month, excepting June, August, and December.
