Car heist movies are getting more financially successful with each movie and spawning more sequels. On Sunday, September 22 Comingsoon.net posted a bunch of new photos from the upcoming film "Fast & Furious 7," the latest film in the global car racing turned robbery franchise. The film is scheduled for releases in theaters on July 11, 2014.
Filming began in September 2013 and several photos have been released from the upcoming film which feature the director James Wan and the returning cast. Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Tyrese Gibson, and Lucas Black can be seen in the photos standing near cars and outside in rural areas.
Actor Vin Diesel has mentioned in the past that at least three more films were being planned. The seventh will be out as a summer blockbuster next year and scripts are in the works for the eighth and ninth films. Black recently signed on to appear in the next three films after his only previous role in the franchise came as the lead character in "Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift," in which he races Dom at the end of the movie.
Tony Jaa, Djimon Hounsou, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jason Statham and Kurt Russell will be joining the cast for the seventh film. The newest adventure is expected to take place back in Los Angeles, after the group returned home following the events of the sixth movie.
