What if I told you that you can have your cake and eat it too? That's what modern turbocharged enthusiasts, tuners, or "ricers" to the laymen have been doing for years. Have you ever wondered what it is like to drive a custom turbocharged Scion TC at over 100 miles per hour through traffic? See it for yourself thanks to a quick POV test drive and owner interview. Modified to run a forced induction system, specifically a turbocharger, this once naturally aspirated sport economy car can now run a mid ten second quarter mile. That's faster than most modern sports cars, and all while still simultaneously achieving outstanding fuel economy. The lure for turbocharged cars isn't always about going fast; its about the option of saving fuel or going fast that solidifies most enthusiasts into the hobby.

So how is it possible to run an additional 150 horsepower over original manufacturer's numbers and still maintain within 5% of OEM stated fuel economy? It's all thanks to the tuner. The tuner responsible for this Scion TC is Michael Adkins of - "Mtuned Tuning", an industry professional and renown international tuner. Achieving 600 wheel horsepower on 93 octane fuel and still retaining 30 miles per gallon fuel economy is a normal trait in the tuner community.

Surprised? Why do you think all the modern fuel efficient vehicles use turbochargers?
