“Fast and Furious 7” finally has a release day, according to a Dec. 25 UPI.com report. Actor Vin Diesel, one of the stars of the movie, took to social media to give fans a release update for the movie. Posting a photo of himself with the his late co-star Paul Walker, Diesel wrote on his Facebook page,
“The last scene we filmed together… There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we've come…
Fast and Furious 7 will be released… April 10th 2015!” He added, “P.s. He'd want you to know first….”
Entertainment Weekly reports that when “Fast and Furious 7” opens in theaters next April, fans can expect to see Walker’s scenes. Questions surrounding whether or not Walker’s scenes would be in the movie arose after the late actor died in a car accident on Nov. 30. He died prior to completion of the filming the next installment of the popular movie franchise.
After Diesel’s Facebook post, Universal followed with an official statement of its own confirming that Walker will be part of the movie.
“Continuing the global exploits in the franchise built on speed, Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead the returning cast of Fast and Furious 7, which will be released by Universal Pictures on April 10, 2015. James Wan directs this chapter of the hugely successful series, and Neal H. Moritz and Vin Diesel return as producers.”
