While Fast and Furious 7 had a slight, but major, detour, the film is still on the way. After everything, the seventh installment will making its way to the spring of 2015. However there has been a change of plans for the upcoming film. Before Fast fans have a panic attack, the new update is in fact good news. In a new report from Universal Pictures that Fast and Furious 7 will be hitting theaters on April 3, 2015.

Originally the movie was scheduled to hit theaters on April 10. 2015. However due to the powers that be, the action blockbuster will be opening the month of April. Seeing that this is a major blockbuster, would opening the month of April be a bad business move for Universal Pictures? It may seem strange for Fast and Furious 7 to open April, but the franchise will have no problem performing well in the box office.

For starters, blockbusters such as Captain America: The Winter Soldier open in April this year and the film a terrific run. Plus the Fast series has open in this month before. The only difference is that Fast 7 opens the month where as it predecessors did not. Though opening the month may be a deciding factor in the action film's success, it may also not effect Fast 7's chances too. This film has already been pushed back, which has only peak the interest of fans and moviegoers. If that plays a factor, then it may not make a difference when the seventh installment of Fast and the Furious opens as it is still going to do good business.

Directed by James Wan, Fast and Furious 7 stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, ason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Tony Jaa, Kurt Russell, Nathalie Emmanuel, Djimon Hounsou, Lucas Black, John Brotherton, Michelle Rodriguez and Jordana Brewster
