Movie fans are waiting for the release of "Fast & Furious 7" to theaters, and now they will have to wait a bit longer for the film to arrive. On Sunday, Dec. 22, Vin Diesel went to his Facebook to share a photo from the film. He also announced the new release date for the film as well. CNN reported on Monday that Walker's scenes will remain in the film. The photo shared by Diesel features him with Paul Walker, and he revealed it was the last scene they filmed together for the movie. He said the following with the photo:
There was a unique sense of completion, of pride we shared… in the film we were now completing… the magic captured… and, in just how far we've come…
The new release date for the film is April 10, 2015. This is nine months later than the planned July 2014 release. Paul Walker will be seen in the film, and writers for the film have been re-working the script to honor his memory. Walker died on Nov. 30 after a fiery car accident outside a charity event. Production was set to pick back up on the film that Monday.
The delay will give everyone involved a chance to mourn the actor's death and to honor his memory. Universal never planned to shelve the film, but production did halt after Walker's death. The cast and crew involved needed time to figure out how to proceed with the project.
What do you think? Is it right that the film is delayed until 2015? Scottsdale residents will be able to see this film at the Harkins Fashion Square 7 or another local theater in the area once it is released.
