Fashionistas to be featured in upcoming Rock and Roll Hall of Fame exhibit

“Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power,” is an innovative and interactive exhibit that will showcase important women involved in music. The out of the ordinary exhibit will showcase a wide range of female entertainers, as well as highlight their significant moments in music throughout the years.

Although the talented women featured in this exhibit are mostly known for their accomplishments in music, many of the ladies are known for standing out in multiple areas of entertaining. Various women featured in the exhibit are also well known for their brave, unique and stand-out choices when it comes to fashion.

Billie Holiday, Tina Turner, Madonna, Gwen Stefani, Janet Jackson, Janelle Monae and Lady GaGa are all influential ladies in both music and fashion that will be featured in the female dominated exhibit. Together, the women mentioned have done everything from produced distinctive looks for themselves, created successful fashion lines and set long-lasting fashion trends.

In total, the exhibit will feature more than 60 female artists and fill the fifth and sixth floors of the museum. Through videos and artifacts, the exhibit will demonstrate how women have inspired, and influenced music, starting from the 20th century and continuing on to current times. The “Women Who Rock: Vision, Passion, Power” exhibit will open on Friday, May 13th, 2011 and run through Sunday, February 26th, 2012.
