Right in the middle of New York's Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, and the weekend of preparation for the annual Grammy Awards, a beautiful and legendary angel was taken from us, and across the world, many are mourning the loss. Legendary singer/actress Whitney Houston was pronounced dead this afternoon in L.A.'s Beverly Hilton Hotel. Houston was said to be in town preparing to attend the annual Grammys, as well as the pre and post Grammy parties, including the well known party of long time friend and founder of her talent, Clive Davis.
Many are now changing their plans in order to properly pay respects to the singer by preparing for a last minute tribute at the Grammys. It has been reported that Clive Davis, known for having one of the most prestigious award parties each year, is now turning his pre Grammy party scheduled for tonight into a remembrance and tribute to his friend, Houston.
Many fashion industry insiders, as well as fashion icons, are paying their respects and expressing their shock via Twitter, as the world comes to terms with losing such a wonderful and extremely talented woman.
