It's safe to say that most of the fashion world tuned in tonight to watch the 2012 Golden Globes, not just for the awards being given, but for the fabulous red carpet attire. Golden Globe awards are known for turning out some of the best red carpet gowns each year, compared to other award shows, and today proved to be no different, as many stars came out in different designer pieces to die for.
The theme for tonight's award show very well may have been pastels, because soft neutrals and pastels dominated the red carpet. Sure there were bold bursts of color, such as Sarah Michelle Gellar's beauiful cobalt and white gown by designer Monique Lhuiller, and Stacy Kiebler's beautiful red gown. Actress Sofia Vergara stunned in a beautiful blue Vera Wang gown with a fishtail hem. However, blush gowns like Charlize Theron's over populated the carpet. Jessica Biel looked sensually regal as she strutted the red carpet in a long sleeved ivory lace gown with an up- to there slit. Angeline Jolie, always the epitome of old Hollywood glamour, oozed lots of sensual sophistication in a beautil cream and red asymmetrical gown by Atelier Versace. Fashion winners also included plus size actress Octavia Spencer, who dazzled in Tadashi Shoji, Kate Beckinsale in Roberto Cavalli, Salma Hayek in Gucci, and Debra Messing in Monique Lhuillier.
