Olivia Palermo, Coco Rocha, Joan Rivers, Joan Collins, Carol Alt, Star Jones, Martha Stewart and Kelly Killoren Bensimon were a few of the notables we spotted in the front row at Dennis Basso's 30th Anniversary presentation. “The inspiration for my 30th anniversary collection are the great American fashion icons. Women such as Babe Paley embodied the glamour, strength and elegance that has inspired me throughout my career and this collection is my tribute to them,” said Dennis Basso.
Shoes were provided by Brian Atwood, manicures by JULEP, and makeup by Kabuki/SEPHORA, and hair was styled by John Barrett. "Today’s look for Dennis Basso is sort of like a sophisticated woman of the 1960's. And what Kabuki’s done is he’s made it a bit more current by using a gray liquid liner as opposed to black. It’s called Alloy by Stila and it’s just sort of, like, a modern take...We’re using Club Mix, which is a vinyl lip gloss pencil from NARS to really help balance out the eye look. And the skin is just kept really fresh, sort of feminine. We’re using like a fringe sort of shaggy lash on the outer corners to help enhance it," Sephora Pro Gilbert Soliz told JonesMagazine.com.
To create the face, makeup artist Kabuki, assisted by Gilbert Soliz and Sephora PRO, used the following products:
