New York Fashion Week has come to an end and designers stunned us with their Spring 2012 collections. We saw some trends throughout the runway shows such as sheer, lace, and florals that will be big for Spring. Some of my favorite collections are Anna Sui, Proenza Schouler, Philosophy, and Nanette Lepore.
It looks like the theme for Spring will be ladylike chic. Designers showed ultra-feminine collections that included ruffles, sheer blouses and skirts, prints and lingerie inspired looks.
One of my favorite collections was Anna Sui. It was very retro glam. The vibe was fun and the clothes were alive and vibrant. She showed us lots of bold colors, graphic prints, and embellishments.
I fell in love with Philosophy's collection. The designers showed a very chic collection which included dainty dresses mixed with masculine tuxedo jackets and blazers.
There was not a piece I did not adore in Nanette Lepore's Spring showing. Feminine skirt suits, neon bright colors, and lots of lace was consistent throughout her collection.
Proenza Schouler did not disappoint giving us funky florals, backless black dresses, and skirts with geometric designs. Designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez also did a fantastic job executing high-waisted short sets and belted sheath dresses.
