Eco fashion is a sustainable fashion trend that is inspiring a variety of eco-conscious designers. Brooklyn Fashion Week 2014 opening the first day featuring some of the hottest emerging eco designers. Buddhahood is a Buffalo based lifestyle brand that fuses the eco fashion and mediation I caught with the designer at Fashion week Brooklyn 2014 for a interview and here's what he had to say.

Getthebuzz716: Tell me a little about your brand. Where are you from?

Buddhahood: Buddhahood is a line of graphic silk screened clothing. It’s collaboration between Fine Artist and graphic designer Dario Mohr and Fashion Designer OMI of SaiOne Elmwood. We are based out of Buffalo NY.

Getthebuzz716: What does fashion week Brooklyn mean to you?

BuddhaHood: Brooklyn Fashion Week was the first NYC fashion show we showcased in with our own lines "Omi" and "Daft Minerva", which opened many doors for us including being able to showcase their collaborative line Buddhahood

Getthebuzz716: How would you define your Brand?

Buddhahood: Buddhahood is the creative and spiritual enclave of two Buddhists sharing our ideology with communities we identify with that may not directly identify with Buddhism, so we call the collaboration Buddhahood.

Getthebuzz716: How long does it usually take you to construct a piece?

Buddhahood: Depending on the design its start out with a sketch then the graphics on Photoshop and illustrator. We make the clothing while meditating and praying throughout the process. Then we print. Otherwise we print directly on T shirts and Shirt Dresses.?

Getthebuzz716: What matters to you most as a designer?

Buddhahood: Infusing our shared Buddhist ideology into different subcultures.

Getthebuzz716: What do you believe makes a quality design?

Buddhahood: Juxtaposing imagery in our graphics that make for a deep conceptual graphics along with the process of creating the clothing with positive intension and prayer.

Getthebuzz716: How would you define the style your line exemplifies?

Buddhahood: Our style is ready to wear that is occasionally editorial enabling Buddha nature to be represented in communities which aren’t thoroughly exposed to the ideology.

Getthebuzz716: What are some of your fashion goals?

Buddhahood: Fashion Goals include NY Fashion Week, Paris Fashion Week, Milan Fashion Week, London Fashion Week, Africa Fashion Week, etc.

Getthebuzz716: What other experience do you have in the fashion industry (stylist, retail, marketing, etc.)?

Buddhahood: Dario has experience designing graphics and logos for various designers and is the creator of Daft Minerva Clothing and Accessories. OMI is the owner of SaiOne. A boutique based out of Buffalo NY. He has done many Fashion Shows in WNY & NYC.
