Can you believe it?
Fashion's Night Out 2013 has been officially canceled! This decision was made at FNO's headquarters in New York and based on their experiences with the sponsors and retailers. Such a shame, since the ruling that was made will be enforced across the US. Here in Boston - we seemed to just be picking up momentum and getting into the celebration! For the first time in 15 years, Mayor Menino shut down Newbury Street allowing for Boston to really showcase their fashion neighborhood.
One of the arguments that shut down the event was that the only the big name retailers really benefited, whereas the event was supposed to support local retail. Who knows what will happen come September... an unofficial FNO perhaps?
