Fashion retailers using video and video production to attract consumers

Fashion retailers for years have led the pack in sales with various methods of advertising. From billboards to on air commercials, PR campaigns and more. However nowadays consumers are proving to be much smarter. They want a 3d spinning view when they shop online and one-dimensional advertisements simply do not cut it anymore. “What is the quality of the product, does the color vary from the ad? Has that been photo shopped and is it true to size? From 2008 to about 2009 retailers were jumping on the pay per click bandwagon and in 2012 retailers began heavy advertising via social media networks. In 2013 the shift has been made to video and video production. Teams such as LNC Productions are seeing an upswing in fashion retailer projects due to the advertising wave transition.

In 2013 LNC Productions was the team hired to produce and bring to life the Yosi Samra commercial. A retailer that sells the pioneer of the ever-popular fold-up ballet flat. They commissioned LNC productions to broaden their current audience. How? By shooting the first video in a proposed ad campaign on location in Miami with a full scale production, hired models and elite cast and crew. The commercial was shown in 85 countries where the brand is distributed and resulted in an increase in company growth. In turn Yosi Samra moved forward to commission a second video.

This is apparent within the Yosi Samra video as it shows various lifestyle scenes of young women who are spending their days around the city or out on the town and you can simply imagine your own feet hurting from heels and instead putting on a par of their ballet flats. However the devil is all in the details….or the production magic rather.
