Fashion: NYFW previews fall 2013 fashion collections (Photos)

NYFW rolls on in spite of the wicked winter weather. Since February is the month when Autumn/Winter collections for the year are shown, it's somewhat fitting, albeit uncomfortable for fashionistas splashing towards Lincoln Center.

So far, Jason Wu has dazzled with a luxe collection featuring sumptuously wearable fur jackets. Helmut Lang showed a mod collection, heavy on dresses, featuring a fractured glass geometric print. Prabal Gurung draped and flattered the female figure, showing bell like sleeves, and skirts wrapped and folded around the body. Rebecca Minkoff stands to become the next Donna Karan, with her easy, wearable urban chic pieces.

Ruffian took it back to the land of the Beatles with a swinging 60s collection that made you want to 'twist and shout'. Suno's looks were sweetly Teutonic, reminding one of a very fashionable nun or prioress. Charlotte Ronson did ladylike for the younger set, with leather tops and skirts mixed with checked wool pieces, and muted florals.

Black, white, and grey was a popular palette for next winter, with some shots of string scarlet red, and a muted version of the pantone color pick, emerald green.
