West Coast Club Life held it's "Glamour and Glow" event last evening and it delivered all the sensory stimulation it had promised. Models displayed the hippest clothing, swimwear, and art. Glowing body paint and theatrical fiber optic hair extensions were thrown into the dramatic showcase. 3-D visual props, sculpture, and paintings surrounded the affair for a constant barrage of visual wonderment.
The preparation for the event started well before the slated 9pm curtain call. Dave Soko, CEO of West Coast Club Life was hustling in every direction. Running electrical extensions, hanging signs and banners, setting up the bar, fielding questions, and offering directions. Not what you would typicaly expect from the ceo of a company. When one finds their true passion in life work becomes effortless, Dave has found his.
Photographer Scott Allison was on hand to chronicle the event as he is at almost all of San Diego's finest clubs and happenings. Either Scott or one of his staff photographers are shooting in various clubs capturing the spirit of this city's night life.
There were scores of beautiful models at the event, many of which arrived hours before to exchange their clothing for body paint. The level of activity among all participating was intense. Make up artists, stylists, wardrobe people, models, and event planners were gathered in very small staging areas and every single person on hand gave the impression that they were happy to be involved. Not exactly what one expects to witness when so many people are involved and a deadline is at hand.
Fuse TV covered the video and the sounds were provided by DJ Krazy-Z-K, Dallas Savitt, Dirty Dee, and Danny J Player.
Special guest designers Evil Lamb, X-Kittens, Haus Of Flesh and others provided the evenings fashion assortment. Brandi Bee, owner and designer of Bonsoir, Bella! which creates costumes, swimwear, and lingerie was present for the show. Color, the owner and artist of definecolor.com was in attendance with a display of her fashion and artwork.
This was the third showing of "Glamour and Glow" and it appears to be a hit in the San Diego community. With it's wide assortment of offerings, there is something offered for everyone and every taste. If you enjoy the latest sounds, visual displays, art, fashion, beautiful models painted in neon, and a enviroment that screams creativity, then you need to attend the next chapter of this amazing event!
