Musician and long-time fashion iconoclastAnnie Lennox posed demurely in her decidedly feminine dress with her OBE which she had just received from British monarch Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace, earlier today 28 June 2011 in London, England.
The calf length, short sleeved and square necked pleated dress was of a lovely slightly purplish blue, which she paired with a royal purple beret style hat, embellished with bows, that was tipped jauntily to one side. Lennox still sported her ultra short, shorn off hair…
Annie accessorized with a string of pearls and a bangle, donning black, rather classical sandals which looked very vintage – perhaps from the 1930’s or 1940’s!
The vintage look was simply amazing on Lennox – though she is more famous for her androgynous trousered and tuxedoed looks, Annie has worn some very feminine outfits that looked great on her.
On 12 June 2008, Annie Lennox attended the Grosvenor House Art & Antiques Fair Charity Gala Evening, at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, England wearing a black and white polka dotted dress, paired with black stocking and candy apple red sandals. The slightly vintage style looked absolutely lovely on her!
Another vintage ensemble was a gorgeous white and silvery blue ombré gown with interesting shoulderless sleeves that was decidedly 1940’s chic as Annie appeared at the 76th Annual Academy Awards at the Kodak Theater February 29, 2004 in Hollywood, California.
These vintage looks suit Annie Lennox really well and she has an amazing figure to carry them off as well…
