Fashion funds the cure for childhood cancer

On Tuesday, March 30, 2010 the Rally Foundation held its fashion fundraiser to benefit childhood cancer research. Curtis Lofton, Linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons served as the Honorary Chair for the event. Saks Fifth Avenue presented a lineup of new spring fashions. The high note of the evening was the presentation of a dozen girls either surviving or fighting cancer. Each girl was escorted by Atlanta Falcons football players.

As guests arrived and registered, the evening began with a silent auction, wine, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres while the models and Rally Kids were getting their hair and makeup done. As the silent auction closed, celebrity escorts met with the Rally models back stage and prepared for their runway debut. Following the fashion show, Jan Bilthouse conducted a live auction. Lunch with Curtis Lofton and eight sideline seats to all Atlanta Falcons home games for this season generated quite a bit of excitement from the crowd. One of the Rally models, introduced the “Sponsor a Child” program and shared her story with the audience. The evening concluded around 9 PM.
