Harlem fashion Row is now in its 5th year, and while HFR is fairly new its very necessary for the young metropolitan designer to have a great platform.
This year’s HFR highlighted designer’s Espion (@espionatelier), Sandro Romans Collection (@sandroromans), Modahnik (@modahnik), and Kimberly Goldson Collection (Kimberlygoldsoon).
Held inside of Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Fredrick P. Rose Hall, HFR showcased four designers, each of the four designers were individually inspired, which can be seen in their distinctive collections. Jefferies describes her line, Espion, as “the future of classic clothing” with dark and sophisticated pieces focused on luxury. Goldson’s chic and colorful style has been winning audiences over since her debut on Project Runway during its ninth season. Mateene’s fashion line, MODAHNIK, uses vibrant colors and bold prints to create a daring and feminine look. Finally for men, Romans provokes fantasy and creates a whimsical aesthetic by pairing simple silhouettes and rich materials.
