Dooney is a special needs blind dog who at the young age of 3 years, has traveled half way around the world in search of a future with a family. This male, gray poodle, began his life in Iran where he endured some tough times. But now that he is on American soil, his spirit is showing a gentleness and a love of people.
To raise funds for dogs like Dooney, LIMU, a women's boutique store at 2237 Fillmore Street, San Francisco, will be hosting a fashion show and cocktail party open to the public on Thursday, March 14 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm.
Proceeds will benefit VAFA Animal Shelter in Iran, and will help cover veterinary care and other necessities that the rescued dogs need in bringing them to their foster homes.
The event organizer says, "Come sip fine champagne, enjoy bites, dance to fabulous music, and take in the amazing spring fashions, all for a good cause."
