Fashion designer L'Wren Scott found dead

L’Wren Scott, fashion designer and girlfriend of Rolling Stones rock star Mick Jagger, was found dead this morning in her Manhattan apartment. Scott’s body was found by her assistant. Her death is believed to be an apparent suicide.

She reportedly called her assistant, saying simply “come by,” according to CNN. That was around 8:30 a.m. When her assistant arrived about 10 a.m. however the famous designer wit a scarf wrapped around her neck hanging from a doorknob, reported the NY Post as well.

There was no suicide note. Last month she cancelled her London Fashion Week show at the last minute. The fashion world is exploding on Twitter with news of her death.

“Here's to L'Wren Scott who kept us chicly attired since 2006. My prayers for her friends and family,” tweeted April Khaito.

“The fashion world lost a beautiful and talented designer today such sad news,” tweets Laeticia Hallyday.

“A sad and unexpected loss, we're sure she will be greatly missed both inside and outside of the fashion industry,” tweets TWR Fashion.

Scott stood at six foot three inches tall. Her apartment was at 200 11th Avenue on the ninth floor. Originally from Utah, she began her career in Paris as a model.
