As well it should be, today Farrah Fawcett was represented for eternity when her red swimsuit was installed in the Smithsonian.
Washington, DC's iconic preserver of all that's American is now the proud owner of the iconic bathing costume of one of the most remembered small screen icon.
That's a lot of prestige, all made possible by Farah Fawcett's long time partner, Ryan O'Neal, who donated the Charlie's Angels' star's bathing suit that was worn by the actress in the 1970s. The suit and the beauty were also hung on just about every pubescent boy's bedroom wall back in the day thanks to one of the biggest selling posters of all time where Farrah wore the red swimsuit.
No doubt, Farrah Fawcett, who sadly passed away in 2009 the same week as Michael Jackson, will always be remembered for that red swimsuit, and for many other reasons as well, bravery being at the top of that list.
RIP, Farrah Fawcett, RIP.
