However, according to her, her new gig is all in the name of research.

"She was hired a couple of weeks ago as a cocktail waitress but wanted to make more money dancing, so they moved her up to the stage," an insider revealed to E! News on Aug. 13.

In the last year and a half, Abraham has made questionable choice after questionable choice in her career. Not only did the former "Teen Mom" make and sell a sex tape last year, she's also released a line of adult toys (that were molded from her own private parts) and embarked on a tour of strip clubs around the country.

As for her latest gig, Abraham claims she's doing it for research.

"I'm doing research," Abraham explained. "A friend of mine works there and I'm researching. I've been trying out all the roles that make up a gentleman's club, including cocktailing and dancing. There's management and there's cooking too. It's job shadowing that I hope pays off. In the same way Jennifer Aniston researched her role as a stripper, that's what I'm doing."

Earlier this year, Abraham released her first erotic novel, and in the next couple years, she plans to release two more. Abraham has also gotten involved in movies and will soon star in the upcoming horror film, "Axeman II: Overkill."

According to Abraham, going out into the workforce is how she gets the information for her books and movies, so being a stripper isn't something she's doing for fun -- it's all business.

Although Abraham may not be taking her new job too seriously, patrons at the club were reportedly impressed with her moves.

"She was definitely not shy and looked like she knew what she was doing," the insider said. "She was wearing a nude thong and bejeweled bra. She wasn't awkward at all and was actually quite good."
