Farrah Abraham appeared on Bethenny recently where she addressed her recent comment about her daughter Sophia having her own life. The comment was made during an interview earlier this month and certainly caught fans off guard. Did the Teen Mom star really think that her four-year-old should have her own life? According to her, the answer is "Yes!" However, it isn't to the extent that some have taken it and Farrah claims it in no way means that her daughter is being neglected or left to find her own way.
"I am very much her mother, and I am very much there to develop her, ground her, take that initiative, but I also feel that...it's very healthy for my daughter to have her own friends," she explained. "To have that community around her that she knows is her own person. I don't ever want my daughter growing up questioning who she is or her choices. I want her to be a strong, happy individual."
"My daughter knows she is loved," Farrah explained during an interview on October 25. "My daughter knows she has a mom, and I'm there, and I'm not worried about anything of what everyone else is worried about."
Although Farrah claims that she is "very much" a mother to her daughter, she doesn't spend nearly the amount of time with Sophia that most mothers spend and during such a critical age, that isn't a good thing. Sophia is young and she needs her mother in her life consistently. After all, her father died before she was born, so Farrah is the only parent she has.
While most mothers are driving their daughters to and from school and to activities during the week and doing fun things on the weekend, Farrah is busy on tour and when she's not busy with work, she spends time in Orlando with her boyfriend which really limits her mother/daughter time.
