The three-day convention runs from February 14-16 at the North Baltimore Plaza Hotel in the Lutherville-Timonium area of Maryland.

“FARPOINT is an annual gathering for fans of all genres of imaginative fiction - Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, SuperHeroes - in all the media formats in which they might appear - Cinematic Movies, Television, Direct to DVD , Books on Tape, Podcasts, Web Video - you name it, we want to celebrate it!” (

Equipment for the Convention was delivered on Wednesday, earlier than originally scheduled due to the weather forecast. The Farpoint Facebook page posted another update early this afternoon:

“Hotel status update: Parking lot is being plowed/shoveled out today. Plowing on secondary roads to start around noon today in this area. I-695 and I-83 are plowed but slushy in spots. The highway workers are doing a good job! Careful driving should get everyone here safely on Friday.”
