While most of Maryland is dealing with snow removal, the folks at Farpoint are preparing for their big event.
The three-day convention runs from February 14-16 at the North Baltimore Plaza Hotel in the Lutherville-Timonium area of Maryland.
“FARPOINT is an annual gathering for fans of all genres of imaginative fiction - Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, SuperHeroes - in all the media formats in which they might appear - Cinematic Movies, Television, Direct to DVD , Books on Tape, Podcasts, Web Video - you name it, we want to celebrate it!” (farpointcon.com)
Equipment for the Convention was delivered on Wednesday, earlier than originally scheduled due to the weather forecast. The Farpoint Facebook page posted another update early this afternoon:
“Hotel status update: Parking lot is being plowed/shoveled out today. Plowing on secondary roads to start around noon today in this area. I-695 and I-83 are plowed but slushy in spots. The highway workers are doing a good job! Careful driving should get everyone here safely on Friday.”
