Tired of buying food that takes it's toll on the environment? How much fuel does it take to get the food to your plate?
Lucky for us in Bellevue, 2 Farmer's Markets are opening soon. On May 12th the Farmer's Market at the First Presbyterian Church opens. On June 4th, the Farmer's Market at Washington Square opens. It's located at 10610 NE 8th and is dog-friendly!
If you'd like to open a booth or get more information go to www.BellevueFarmersMarket.org.
For a great cookbook that focuses on seasonal meals, check out Clean Food by Terry Walters.
For an event at the Bellevue Whole Foods, come to the '100 Mile Menu' tonight at 6 pm. The 100-Mile Menu is a new culinary movement that takes advantage of local producers and seasonal ingredients.
Support your local farmers, get the highest nutrient level foods and lesson your footprint on the planet. It's a win/win/win decision!
