Farm Rich massive recall on frozen pizza due to E.coli scare (Photos)

Vibe Magazine reported on April 5, 2013 that Farm Rich frozen pizza has a massive recall. Farm Rich is recalling over 10 million pounds of frozen snack items.

Rich Corporation is the owner of the Farm Rich brand which produces Mini Quesadillas, Mozzarella Bites, Mini Pizza Slices and Philly Cheese Steaks. The recall has now reached over 10 million which in included these snack size appetizer.

Rich Corporation has taken the responsibility of issuing a massive recall of the Farm Rich brand because the company believes that the food may be contaminated with E.coli 0121, also known as Escherichia coli 0121.

The frozen pizza products and other mini snacks from the company Waycross, Ga., plant with the “best before” dates of January 1, 2013 to September 29, 2014.

Bill Gisel the CEO of Farm Rich says “it saddens us deeply that anyone would become ill after consuming Farm Rich products”.

Gisel also states “When it became apparent to us that despite the expertise of the USDA and FDA, the scientific community and our own experts could not identify the cause we decided to act proactively to expand the recall.”
