Farm Box LA delivers fresh-picked organic produce to your home or business every week

In an ideal world, everyone would buy their produce at the farmer's market, where the food is freshest, cheapest and most supportive of local agriculture. In the real world, however, busy schedules don't always allow for even a quick trip on the weekend. That's where Farm Box LA comes in.

Each week, Farm Box delivers boxes of organic, locally grown fruit, vegetables and herbs to subscribers throughout Los Angeles. Boxes vary in price according to size:

  • THE Farm Box LA: One or two people for $50/week
  • SUPER Farm Box LA: Three to four people for $75/week
  • GRANDE Farm Box LA: Five to six people for $100/week

Clients can return uneaten produce to Farm Box for distribution to a local food bank. Farm Box will compost inedible food. Upon request, Farm Box will also pickle or jam your produce so you can enjoy it at your leisure.

Says Reisha Fryzer, owner of Farm Box LA, "I created the company to share my love of eating fresh, healthy, seasonal, organic, pesticide-free produce with my fellow Los Angelenos who would love to eat that way too."

Unlike most Community Supported Agriculture co-ops, which often deliver food the group grows at one location, Farm Box distributes fruits, vegetables and herbs grown at multiple sites, including Vital Zuman Sustainable Farm and certified Los Angeles Farmer's Markets.  As a result, Farm Box is able to deliver a wider variety of produce than many CSAs.

Because Farm Box only selects in-season produce, subscribers can't choose what kids of produce they receive, but they can request not to receive a specific item they don't like. So don't look for tomatoes in February, during strawberry season, and speak up if you can't stand beets. Like many small businesses, Farm Box guarantees 100% customer satisfaction.
