Now that the Fargo-Grand Forks-Moorhead market now longer as ThisTV, the free movie digital sub channel, over the air viewers of movies have lost a lot of options for seeing movies in this market. But, there are still a couple of stations on which a viewer can see some films. These are pretty much the weekend, we’ll take a look at what’s available for the weekend for over-the-air viewing .
WDAY/Z Channels 6/7/8/2-For Saturday January 26th beginning at 1:00 p.m. central, The Fargo CW station has two movies. At 1:00 p.m. is the teen comedy Uptown Girls. At 3:00 p.m. there is an airing of the horror movie sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. On Sunday January 27th beginning at 1:30 p.m. is the science fiction movie, Space Cowboys. This film features older action adventure stars Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones and Donald Sutherland. This is followed by Vietnam-era Mel Gibson action flick, Air America. Fargo CW usually has four movies of fairly recent vintage on its Saturday and Sunday TV schedules.
KCPM-Channel 33 in Fargo, a MyTV network affiliate has a movie on Sunday night January 27 at 7:00 p.m. The selection for this week will be the romantic comedy 27 Dresses The movie features Katherine Heigl as a woman who has been a bridesmaid 27 times.
MeTV-The digital sub channel, seen on KVLY 11.2, the horror host Svengoolie holds courts The selelction for January 26th will be the Universal horror classic, The Black Cat. Svengoolie presents the best titles in the Universal library. The movie features two giants of the horror real, Bela Lugosi and Boris Karloff.
KVRR-Channel 15 the Fox affiliate in Fargo sometimes has movies when it does not have Fox sports to run. Sunday January 27th’s selection will be the psychological detective thriller Mindhunters. FBI profilers have to hunt down a serial killer in their midst. This movie will start at 1:00 p.m.
There are currently no movies scheduled for the regular network broadcasts during the week. When there are movie presentations on these networks we will get those movies onto the scheduled as soon as we are aware of them. There are not a lot of over their movie options at this time, but there still are some available in this market.
