Farewell notice

I'm probably not allowed to do this, but due to some renegotiating of my priorities, I'm announcing the end of my Examiner column. My interests in metal are waning, and although I'll always be a metal person, I no longer have the inclination to keep up with the scene, and consequently I have little reason to write about it.

That said, metal is still important to me, but I feel that as a whole it has yet to reach maturity as art. Some interesting developments are being made, and because of this, I might pop in here and there with new ideas or reviews (I am also awaiting the return of some interview questions), however, don't expect frequent updates.

I'm glad to have written for this site and am thankful for the experience gained, but it's high time to move on. Thanks to the handful of people who read my stuff and gave support via their comments. See you guys later and stay metal!

This is a tragedy: not only have we lost our valuable West Coast front, but we've also lost one of our most insightful contributors! I really hope you change your mind about this, but whatever the case, I'm wishing you the best of luck in all your future endeavors, Metal-related or otherwise.
