Although “Far Cry 4” has not yet been announced, the sequel has already been hinted several times to be in production. The sequel may be developed by Ubisoft Shanghai with Cliff Martinez handling the soundtrack for the first-person shooting open-world title. Tony Key, the senior vice president of marketing and sales at Ubisoft, also confirmed that a new video game from the “Far Cry” series is in development after the success of the third main installment of the series.
“Far Cry 3” was released for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 gaming platforms on Dec. 4, 2012. Despite missing the Black Friday shopping period, the software product still managed to sell 4.5 million units in just two months. “Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon,” a standalone expansion pack, was released last year on April 30th for the Playstation Network as well as May 1st for the PC and Xbox 360 digital stores. “Far Cry 4” will most likely come out for the PC along with the PS4 and Xbox One next-generation systems. Ubisoft may also port the sequel to the PS3 and Xbox 360 current-generation consoles.
