There have been some surprising stars this season for fantasy football wide receivers, including two men who started the season suspended. According to ESPN on Oct. 16, both Josh Gordon and Justin Blackmon’s hot starts might be attributed to an NFL rule that allowed them to remain with their teams and practice despite their substance abuse suspensions.
Here are the fantasy football start em or sit em options for week seven wide receivers.
Josh Gordon – He served a two game suspension and then returned and became one of the hottest fantasy football wide receivers in the NFL. Only three receivers have been better in fantasy than Gordon since he returned and he is a must start every week, especially against the woeful Green Bay Packers.
Justin Blackmon – Just like Gordon, when Blackmon returned from his suspension revitalized and has become one of the biggest new fantasy football stars of the 2013 season. It is not a surprise to see him doing well in Norv Turner’s offense, but his 19 receptions for 326 yards in his first two games back was more than anyone expected.
T.Y. Hilton – While Andrew Luck tries to keep up with Peyton Manning, Champ Bailey will be shadowing Reggie Wayne, meaning that T.Y. Hilton should have a monster day against the rest of the horrible Denver defensive secondary.
Larry Fitzgerald – He used to be an automatic start no matter what, but Fitzgerald has been shaky this season thanks to some minor injuries slowing him down. This week, he gets Richard Sherman and the Seattle Seahawks, so don’t risk your fantasy football team on him this week.
Roddy White – With Julio Jones out for the season, Roddy White should get some nice looks, but there is a chance he may not even play this week thanks to his lingering hamstring problems. Even if he does play, do not start White in any fantasy football league. He is not reliable at all.
Anquan Boldin – Boldin is frustrating. He looks amazing at times and disappears at other times. This week, he gets a strong Tennessee Titans defense who ranks first in the league against fantasy football wide receivers while at home.
