When the Cleveland Browns traded Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts, it increased his value in fantasy football leagues a great deal. According to ESPN on Sept. 19, Richardson said he is excited to get started with his new team.
Here are the fantasy football start em or sit em options for week three running backs.
Giovani Bernard - The starting running back in Cincinnati is still BenJarvus Green-Ellis, but he been struggling to pick up any yards. Bernard is the rookie running back and is a lot more valuable than Green-Ellis for the future. This week, there is a great chance the Bengals finally start to give Bernard the carries he deserves.
Knowshon Moreno - Heading into the season, everyone was looking at rookie Monte Ball as a sleeper fantasy football starter. However, it is holdover Moreno who has stepped up and regained the job he lost years ago. Against Oakland, expect Moreno to continue his hot start.
Joique Bell - Reggie Bush will probably miss this week's game due to injury, which makes Bell a huge sleeper start in all fantasy football leagues. Backup James Starks ran for a lot of yards last week against Washington, and Bell should be just as good.
David Wilson - After fumbling in the first week, it looked like he was finished as the starter in New York. However, he failed to impress in week two and now he will share his carries with both Da'Rel Scott and Brandon Jacobs and none of them are worth a start against Carolina.
Maurice Jones-Drew - MJD is no longer a consistent starter every week anymore, and this is one week that he needs to be sitting on the fantasy football benches. The Seattle Seahawks still have one of the best defenses in the NFL and MJD will find yards hard to come by.
James Starks - After he picked up so many yards last week as the Green Bay Packers starter, he was one of the hottest pickups in fantasy football. However, the Bengals have one of the league's better rush defenses and Starks will not have the same kind of week this week.
