Cleveland Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden hasn't been the best of fantasy football quarterbacks this year, but with Norv Turner as his coordinator that was expected to change. According to ESPN on Sept. 19, he will miss playing this week with a sprained thumb, but might be back as soon as next week.
Here are the fantasy football start em or sit em options for week three.
Colin Kaepernick - The 49ers battle the Colts in week three, which makes things look good for the 49ers quarterback. The Colts allowed Terrelle Pryor to run for 100 yards and Ryan Tannehill to throw for 300 yards. Don't be surprised if Kaepernick does both.
Tony Romo - The St. Louis Rams offense is much improved, but their defense has been struggling to stop other teams, specifically in the passing game. This should be a big week for both Romo and Dez Bryant in the passing game and both are solid starts.
Philip Rivers - Most people wrote off Philip Rivers after two years of poor play. However, the new Chargers offense has Rivers rejuvinated and he has seven touchdown passes in the last two games. Expect more of the same against Tennessee this week.
Russell Wilson - The Seattle Seahawks play the horrible Jaguars in week three, and that will mean bad things for Russell Wilson. With the Jags so bad, there is no reason for Wilson to throw the ball and this game will belong to Marshawn Lynch.
Joe Flacco - The Houston Texans have never been a good matchup for Joe Flacco. In the last three years, Flacco has only had one good game against the Texans and in the last two, he has more interceptions than touchdowns (3-1).
Ben Roethlisberger - The Steelers offense is in shambles. There is still no solid running game in Pittsburgh, and this week, Big Ben will also be relying more on one of the Steelers' rookie wide receivers. At least until LeVeon Bell returns from injury, Roethlisberger is no longer a fantasy football starter.
