The biggest football game of the weekend, and maybe of the regular 2013 NFL season, is the Indianapolis Colts vs. Denver Broncos game on Sunday night. While all the attention is on Peyton Manning returning, Sports Illustrated reported on Oct. 16 that Luck has quickly become the second best quarterback in the NFL since replacing him.
Here are the fantasy football start em or sit em options for week seven quarterbacks.
Andrew Luck – Yes, everyone will be starting Peyton Manning, but Andrew Luck needs to be in the starting lineup as well. Luck will have to keep up with Manning’s scoring, and with how bad the Denver pass defense is, there is no reason to think he can’t keep up and maybe have the same kind of day Tony Romo did two weeks ago.
Tony Romo – Speaking of Romo, he gets to play the Philadelphia Eagles, the last place defense in the NFL. Without DeMarco Murray in the lineup, Romo will be throwing all day and don’t be surprised to see another 400 yard game from the Cowboys’ gunslinger.
Nick Foles – While Romo will be throwing all over the field, Nick Foles will start for the Eagles. He is more of a passer than Michael Vick and will have to keep up with Romo. The Dallas defense is right there with the Eagles for ineptitude, so expect a big game for Foles as well.
Colin Kaepernick – After having a great game last week against the Arizona Cardinals, fantasy football owners will hope that Kaepernick can replicate that against Tennessee. Problem is that the Titans defense has given up the fourth least fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. He is a QB2 at best.
Joe Flacco – Much like Kaepernick, Joe Flacco looked good last week but should fall back to earth in week seven. He has the Pittsburgh Steelers defense to face and they give up the second fewest fantasy football points to quarterbacks. This will be a tough week for him.
Ben Roethlisberger – As a matter of fact, expect this to be a low scoring game altogether and keep Big Ben off the fantasy football rosters as well. He has never been good against Baltimore and this season has been a nightmare for the Steelers’ offense so far this year.
