Week four of the fantasy football season starts the bye weeks, with the Carolina Panthers and Green Bay Packers off. With both Aaron Rodgers and Cam Newton off, ESPN reported on Sept. 24 that Colin Kaepernick might be someone to look at, as he feels motivated by recent criticism towards his play.
Here is a look at the fantasy football quarterback rankings for week four of the NFL season.
1. Peyton Manning
Honestly, as long as Manning is in the lineup and playing, he will almost always lead these rankings. Through three games, Manning has already thrown for 1,143 passing and 12 touchdowns. He is on pace to be the first quarterback to ever throw for over 6,000 passing yards in a season.
2. Drew Brees
The man who currently holds the record for most passing yards in a season is Drew Brees and he has a favorable matchup this week with the Miami Dolphins. Miami is much better than they have been in recent years, so expect Brees to throw the ball a lot in this game, although he is always an interception risk.
3. Tony Romo
The Dallas Cowboys just came off a huge win against the St. Louis Rams and Romo will face a suspect San Diego Chargers defense in week four. With plenty of weapons at his disposal, look for Romo to pick apart the Chargers and have a quality fantasy football week for his owners.
4. Tom Brady
The Atlanta Falcons still have a solid offense, but their defense will make it hard for them down the stretch in 2013. Despite losing most of his offensive passing weapons, Brady is still playing hard and gets a nice matchup this week to a Falcons team giving up 24.3 fantasy points a game.
5. Matthew Stafford
He may have lost Nate Burleson to a freak broken arm, but Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is still someone to keep an eye on. He has thrown for over 350 yards in two of the first three games and should keep it up in what looks to be a tough game with the Chicago Bears.
6. Robert Griffin III
7. Andrew Luck
8. Matt Ryan
9. Michael Vick
10. Andy Dalton
11. Colin Kaepernick
12. Alex Smith
