The Denver Broncos (13-3) will beat the San Diego Chargers (10-7), 31-20, late this afternoon in AFC Divisional game 2.
From a fantasy football Point Of View (POV), the Broncos have the superior talent on offense, defense and special teams. They also have quarterback Peyton Manning.
Manning is the MVP of fantasy football. He threw for 5,547 yards and 55 touchdowns during the regular season and scored 516 fantasy points.
He has a trio of fantastic wide receivers - Demaryius Thomas, Eric Decker and Wes Wellker - and a top 10 tight end in Julius Thomas. Demaryius Thomas passed Calvin Johnson on the final weekend of the regular season to finish as the No. 1 wide receiver with 266 points.
Knowson Moreno provides the needed run support with 1,038 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns. The Broncos defense finished at No. 17, while San Diego was No. 27 in fantasy football defense and special teams rankings.
San Diego has talent, but it is a step slow in comparison to their Denver counterparts. Charger quarterback Philip Rivers bounced back from a bad 2012 to have a solid 2013 season with 340 fantasy points, 32 touchdown passes and 4,478 passing yards.
Running back Ryan Mathews was extremely productive in December when the Chargers were battling for a playoff spot. He averaged over 130 rushing yards in each of the final four regular season games.
The primary receivers for Philip Rivers are running back Danny Woodhead, wide receiver Keenan Allen and tight end Antonio Gates. Mathews, Woodhead and Allen averaged 182 points a piece for the season.
But Sunday should come to a close with Denver victorious at home.
