There will be plenty of talented fantasy football players on the field in Denver for tonight's game. Unfortunately for Charger fans, most of them will be wearing Bronco uniforms.
Denver quarterback Peyton Manning, fantasy football's leading scorer with 421 points, should add another 29 points to his total in the Broncos' quest to protect their one-game lead over Kansas City in the AFC West.
San Diego (6-7) is still mathematically in the hunt for the final playoff spot in the AFC and Philip Rivers is one of the ten best quarterbacks to start in the games remaining on the NFL regular season schedule. Rivers is projected to post at least 21 points against the Broncos defense.
Then you have to consider a trio of Denver players capable of posting a comined total of 50 fantasy football points.
- Wide receiver Demaryius Thomasm
- Wide receiver Eric Decker
- Running back Knowson Moreno
- Tight end Julius Thomas
Besides Rivers, the other Charger to start tonight is tight end Antonio Gates. He is one of the top 10 tight ends in fantasy football and should be good for 12 points.
If you are interested in a "sleeper" playing in tonight's game, consider wide receiver Keenan Allen of San Diego. He is the third leading scorer on the Chargers and their top receiver.
Look for another Bronco victory. Final Score: Denver 35, San Diego 21.
