Fantastic Washington Wines

See also

I so enjoyed many of the great Washington Wines poured at a lunch at Absinthe last week. One of my favorites was the Treveri sparkling rosé. Washington State makes very few bubbly wines and this one was divine and well priced at $17.99. Unfortunately it is not on our market yet! There will be another opportunity to taste more great Washington wines at the auction held at Chateau Ste. Michelle this August.

I also really liked the food-friendly Lauren Ashton Roussanne and the Tamarack Cellars Columbia Valley Merlot. Pictured here from left to right, Washington producers Kit Signh from Lauren Ashton, Patricia Gelles of Klipsun, Christian Grieb from Treveri; and David Gelles.

A few great places to try these wines in San Francisco include K&L and the Jug Shop.
