Fantastic finds from the Las Vegas Market

One of the most exciting parts of being at market is scanning through the new, unique pieces put out by some of my favorite and newer furniture and accessory companies on the scene. Today, I am highlighting some of my faves. Every home can use a little quirk, an item that stands out amongst the remaining calm in the room.

From floor to floor, the market offered fresh styles in lighting, ultra modern furnishings, and sexy slants on more traditional pieces for your home. One of the most amazing structures to be found was an entirely new concept, recreating the four seater dining table. The Verite table incorporates bamboo "pods" for individual place settings, allowing a space in the center for placing decor or your buffet. The slideshow below gives you a top view of this great new idea.

If out of the box contemporary is your thing, check out this bold new accent chair by Haziza, one of my most favorite furniture manufacturers for their stunning use of exciting solid colors and luxuriously soft suedes and fibers, mixed with exotic woods and "ghostly" clear acrylics. This chair doesn't just cradle your back, but continues above your head in a slanted canopy style.

We might all be familiar with the traditional ghost chair, but Haziza now introduces the ghost table. Talk about not adding weight to your space! This set sits virtually invisibly within your room.

For your ultra modern office or as a dining table (shown as both at the show), the Argyll Table by Modloft's funky legs give it a uniqueness that's sure to bring up conversation.

In the world of more traditional furnishings, this Peyton chair from the D' Oro series has a gorgeous curve to bring elegance to a stately study or a Tuscan Villa.

For lighting, my favorite choice is the new slant on a transitional style chandelier by Kalco. They've given the look of a hanging shade pendant  a makeover by adding multi-tiers. It's elegant and fresh! There was also a series of interesting lamps by 26th & Soho. Their accent lighting was a nice alternative to the ordinary.

There were far too many special new wares to mention in one article, but be sure that the interior designers and (fingers crossed) the few furniture stores that attended the week long show will be incorporating these great new trends into the homes of our clients soon. If you'd like more information on purchasing these pieces or designing a room with some of them, contact a great designer near you, or myself at fashionhouseinteriors@gmail.com.
