American Idol Season 3 winner Fantasia Barrino overdosed on aspirin and sleeping pils Monday night in an incident classified as a "suicide attempt" by the relevant police report.

Barrino's overdose was reportedly triggered by the intense media pressure surrounding the singer since news broke of her affair with married cell phone salesmean Antwaun Cook. Earlier this week it was revealed that Barrino may have made a sex tape with Cook that could cost her millions under a North Carolina anti-homewrecker law.

Fantasia Barrino is far from the first celebrity to attempt to make a final exit before her natural number was up. Other music stars who attempted to cash out early include: Donna Summer, Vanilla Ice, Eminem, Elton John, Mindy McCready, Maria Osmond and Tina Turner--just to name a few. (Info via MentalFloss.com)
Barrino is reportedly in stable condition at a North Carolina hospital.
Her most recent appearance in Los Angeles was at the American Idol Season 9 finale at Nokia Theater LA Live.
