Some “The Walking Dead” fans had anticipated that Carol would return for the prison battle that took place in the last episode. Since that didn’t happen, they are anxious to know when she will make her return. Wetpaint shared some thoughts on that on Dec. 5.
Rick Grimes banished Carol Peletier back in episode 4 after she admitted killing two sick prison residents, David and Karen, to protect the others from the deadly flu. In part, Rick was protecting her from the wrath of Tyreese, who was in love with Karen.
Robert Kirkman, the comic book creator and executive producer of the show guarantees we will see her again, though. In an interview with TV Guide, he said, “Carol will definitely return before the end of the season.” He didn’t offer any time frame on when she would return or under what circumstances.
The second half of season 4 returns to AMC on Feb. 9, 2014. When it does, there will be 4 separate groups of people from the prison trying to survive on their own. In all likelihood, Carol will meet up with one of the groups as she, too, tries to survive on her own.
Because of the way they were split up when all hell broke loose at the prison, Tricia Brock, the director for episode 10 says we will see some of the most unusual groupings of characters when the show resumes. Whether Carol runs into former allies or Tyreese, who so far doesn’t know she killed Karen, will be interesting to see.
Who do you think Carol will run into when the second half of “The Walking Dead” airs in the spring?
