Fun!
Over the weekend, an official open casting call for extras for the Divergent film adaptation was held in Chicago, Illinois for in-state residents only, and one local group of the series' fans seized the opportunity to participate and decided to make a video blog about their experience.
From start to finish and even beyond, the friends chronicled their journey to the open casting call and reported standing in the cold, outdoor line for quite some time before making it inside to what was a relatively short audition.
"Basically, we just stood in line for a really long time, and then we took pictures, and the guy was just like 'Okay, smile! Okay, now look like you want to kill me. Okay, you're done,'" the vlogger explained.
Even so, they seemed to have a really good time giving it a shot, and it looked like there was quite a crowd coming out that day.
Divergent author Veronica Roth commented on the auditions Saturday via Twitter, writing "LOVING these Twitter pics from the #Divergent extras #casting line! Chicago, you are the best. Good luck!"
