It's perhaps the most unexpected detail for fans to latch onto in the newly released trailer for The Hunger Games, but it seems a bit of unusual facial hair is causing quite the stir amongst some fans.
I'm talking, of course, about Seneca Crane's beard. The character, portrayed by Wes Bentley in the movie, is the Head Gamekeeper, in charge of creating the Hunger Games arena each year. In The Hunger Games trailer, we see two short glimpses of Crane, and his most distinguishable characteristique is a very stylized beard.
The swirly facial hair has quickly spawned all sorts of reactions -- from Twitter and Facebook comments (and a Facebook fan page!), to gifs and photo memes on Tumblr (one fan even created a "Seneca Crane beard" cutout), and now a most unique interview on MTV's Hollywood Crush. Yes, MTV has posted an "interview" with Seneca Crane's beard. I offer an excerpt:

I'm not afraid of much, but I do have a recurring nightmare involving the Schick Quattro.
