Fans question whether paranormal reality show ‘Ghost Mine’ is fake

This week’s episode of “Ghost Mine”, which aired on February 13, put even more questions in the minds of viewers, as some of the events seemed a bit out of place. The scenario of Dingo’s 9-year-old daughter who disappeared from the company cookout seemed out of place for several reasons.

Not only did she reportedly see a shadow figure that scared her, it seems she chose to leave the group and walk down the hill in the dark because she was afraid. She then found a cement trench that no one knew was there and hid in it. When she was discovered at least 45 minutes later, her only explanation was that she saw the shadow figure that was dark with no color and it frightened her.

Anyone who is familiar with 9-year-olds can tell you that running away into the darkness and hiding out, instead of staying with family and friends is out of character and simply doesn’t make any sense. If it did happen, her parents would likely be a little more upset than Dingo and his wife appeared in the show. But you don’t need to take my word for it. Here’s what other viewers had to say.

As Lance on the forums of Live Science TV put it: “Man that s**t was fake. What 9 year old little girl is going to follow a shadow in to the woods and just happen to end up in a sheltered cement box? Lame.”

A new member responded with:

“What a shame. They created a "Scripted Reality" show! What a shame! After catching up on a few episodes tonight, my suspicions were increasingly aroused as just too much was going on. And when that poor nine year old girl was obviously reciting lines about seeing a "shadow figure [when she described it as] solid black.. [with] no color" and her parents weren't P*ss*d that she ran off in the first place. Hmmmm, what’s going on here?”

Recent information regarding the fact that Christen Luman is a professional actor and a quote from Patrick Doyle stating that paranormal reality shows are 100 percent fake adds even more reasons to question whether “Ghost Mine” is fake.

“Ghost Mine” airs on Wednesday nights at 9/8c on the SyFy channel.
